I tried this post once today and I left the page thinking I could come back. You can’t. I think I had about 40 pics on here, with captions, too. Blasted! January was a busy month for us since we have the kids signed up for a lot of activities (when they get out of school at 2:15, you need to kill 6 hours before bedtime, that means lots of boredom if you have nowhere to go) so we spent that month trying to figure out how to make our new schedule work best. Here are photos. (fingers crossed!!)
- Christopher at Cub Scouts showing everyone his plane collection.
- Sophie getting ready for our weekly grocery shopping trip.
- The quilt I’m working on. Love it!!
- Christopher had to make a family tree for culture class. He kills me because he complains about projects/homework, but once he gets started he’s awesome! He doesn’t want any help and has finally accepted that he will have work to do and to just do it sooner than later. (Whew!)
- Ice treat at Baskin Robbins after school one day.
- On the way to our first ballet class. She still goofs off a little, but really enjoys it. I will catch her practicing sometimes. Makes me so happy!
- Brandon introduced Christopher to old school video games. He loved it! It doesn’t always work, but it was fun while it did.
- Miss Priss has outgrown almost everything she owns and so we were hoping to get some spring clothes in soon (that are appropriate for little girls) and they finally did. She had to model one of her new outfits as soon as she got home.
- This was Sophie’s lunch one day… a PB toast and a jelly toast. She ate it while watching what songs came up on Pandora.
- Sophie and the neigbor girls dancing in the yard one afternoon. We are going to miss them when they move this summer!
- How I found the kids one night watching tv. I have to say that there was a pillow next to Sophie, but neither one of them bothered to move it. Love moments like this. :)
- We took the kids to Chili’s after ballet one night. Felt a little like home. Except we don’t eat there at “home.”
- We told them it was Sophie’s birthday so they brought her a treat and sang to her. She loved it! (Notice the hair that she cut in the front? Just makes her hair poofier than normal now.)
- Sophie was invited to a princess party and had so much fun! It was the cutest little party with different stations for the kids to go play at . The mom even found huge blow up swords for the boys to play with. One thing Sophie was super, super excited about? Having watermelon!!! The fruit here is hit or miss, mostly miss, so this was a really big treat!
- Typical afternoon on our street. The boys bring swords and everyone chases each other around the houses (even the girls join in) playing sword fight or Star Wars or something like that.
- We took the kids bowling one Sunday afternoon. It’s only $1 bowling that day and they had so much fun!
- Christopher and I pausing for a picture.
- Sophie waking up to see her presents on her birthday. She already had the chair, but I thought it would be a nice place to prop up all of her gifts that she got.
- Someone loves the Merida/Angus set that she got!
- Christopher really wanted to get Sophie a scooter for her birthday. She loves it and they chase each other all over the place now.
- Christopher is crazy about Star Wars and made this with duct tape while playing outside one day.
- Brandon was promoted!!!!
- Major Brandon and family. :)
- We are a little proud too!! :) :)
- The kids didn’t have school one Friday and the weather was perfect so we scooted down to the playground and they chased each other on the basektball court for a while. We stayed there for over 2 hours. Have I mentioned how awesome the weather is here??
- After ballet that afternoon we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese. It was the nicest/cleanest one we have ever been to! The pizza wasn’t any good, but the kids didn’t care. This is where Christopher played for about 15 minutes.
- Sophie was ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! Chuck E Cheese came out and would throw tickets in the air. She followed him around. :)
- Riding a ride together. They were so cute!
- Family photos!
- Playing around with the neighbors.
- This was the sunset one Saturday night. I took it with my phone, so just imagine it looking even prettier in person.
- And this is what the other side looked like with a full moon.
- Sunday after church the kids decided to make lunch for Brandon. PBJ, chips, fruit and a soda. What else?
- Christopher decided he wanted to try cutting the grass. He did great, until he saw our next door neighbor playing kickball. Then it was play time again.
- One afternoon the kids decided they needed an obstacle course on the sidewalk to ride their scooters through. Yup, that’s all our shoes out there.
